DAPPER was created in July 2015, when the founders were at a meeting for an event, at that point, we were all individuals, It was later suggested that we had a name as we would be working together a lot, and from that, we grouped together to create DAPPER.


The founders include;

Richard Hetherington - Studied drama whilst at school and college, and then studied the production side at the college also. After a few years of volunteering gaining experience, he then went to the University of South Wales and did a Foundation Degree in Sound, Lighting and Live Event Technology, and now works as a Theatre Technician at Gloucestershire College. 


Paul Davies - Has had no prior experience in the arts, he originally was going to just help out generally as an Assistant Stage Manager (ASM), However quickly became our IT person, helping with this site, setting up an email system, and run our social media pages, And has since gotten a degree in Business management.


Esther Hetherington - Mum to Richard, she studied Art at college and also got an engineering qualification, she worked at the Questors Theatre in Ealing, London in the late '80s and early '90s, where she did wardrobe and costume design, Property design and making and sound design, and she still makes costumes today.   


Dan Smyth - Studied Drama at college alongside Richard, however when Richard moved onto production Dan stayed with drama and continued with it at Worcester University. In his final year at university, Dan started to work more on sound design and operation and successfully completed his degree.
